Here are pictures from a weekend camping trip with Ty and Amy to Hanging Rock, NC. The actual "hanging rock" is an impressive rock formation jutting out of the side of a mountain. Climbing the trail to the top gives you a great 360 view of the farmland in central NC.

Buzzards (?) at the top of Hanging Rock. Ty was able to get pretty close to them to take this picture.
We had cool days with cold nights--Weather to make me thankful for my all-weather sleeping bag, and Jack thankful for his fashionable blue fleece.
Joe and the Webbs setting up campWith an all-state fire ban because of the drought, only coal fires were allowed. Even with a no-flame fire, we still had a great campfire meal--hamburgers, hotdogs, and s'mores.
Ty, Amy, and Hannah around the campfire. At this point, it was pretty cold out. Joe was busy getting the coals hot for dinner.

Great trip!
