Happy New Year!

We spent this first, rainy day of 2011 at the Children's Museum. Even though Grace and I have been before, this was Joe's first trip. And having Daddy along makes everything more fun. Grace is just getting to the age where she can enjoy the different exhibits at the museum. She also loves being around the other kids.

Here we are learning to milk a cow. Cows show up in a lot of Grace's books, so she recognized this cow right away and started making her "moo" sound.

There's a special toddler area that's perfect for kids Grace's age. Looks like fun, huh?

And a little water bed to bounce on...

This was Grace's favorite attraction in the whole museum...a swinging wooden gate. We would still be standing right there if we didn't make her move on to another exhibit.

Here's our best mother-daughter picture from this morning. It's like she's saying, "No pictures now, Mama, let's play!"

We had so much fun, she just couldn't wait until naptime to fall asleep. Sweet girl. 2011 is off to a great start!
