Graduation

Congratulations to the graduate!

Graduation weekend was a big deal this year in the Raleigh-Durham area. UNC, NC State and Duke all graduated this Mother's Day weekend. There wasn't a hotel room or restaurant reservation anywhere to be found. (Thankfully, we planned ahead and didn't have a problem!) For Joe's graduation celebration, we attended several receptions and dinners...but here's the main event...

We had a great time with Joe's parents who came for the weekend. They've been such encouragers for us during our time in Durham, and we were thankful to share graduation weekend with them.

The most difficult part of this transition is leaving all the great friends we've made a Duke. Here are a few friends we were able to catch a picture with on graduation day.

Ty & Joe -- always up for a round of golf

Joe, Brad, Morgan, & Hannah -- the husbands talk school, the wives talk about how much we love our dogs!

Dustin & Joe -- golf friends and GA Tech fans

Chris, Andrea, & Joe -- classmates who kept us laughing

Hannah & Jill -- a sweet friend from the Duke Partner's Bible Study

As I look back through our Duke pictures, we are blessed with such great friendships that started here! With students taking jobs all over the country (and world) keeping up with people means lots of exciting travel for us!

Hannah
